oh, hey! I was born and raised in New Jersey, I’m 28 and now live in Los Angeles, California.
I’m really passionate about self-care, beauty and wellness, it’s what I do! By day, I’m a Global Project Manager who’s probably launched some of your favorite beauty/skincare products. And on the nights and weekends I’m just me - a beach loving, (soon to be) entrepreneur, who enjoys new adventures, Netflix, fitness and now blogging!
This where you can read my posts on Lifestyle, Self-Care, Adventure and Wellness with some tales of my life to my journey of entrepreneurship. You can always catch when I post a new blog on my Instagram @IntoAura
I truly appreciate you stopping by. I’m glad you’re here and hope you stay! xo
Sending love, life, and wellness xo
Heyyyyy! It’s been a while, happy to connect with guys again! Hope you all have been well! 🙂
Things have been crazy! As I told you in a previous post (The Grass Isn’t Always Greener) I am preparing for the launch of my skincare company! Although I am beyond excited it’s been a little hectic. The rollercoaster of daily emotion of being an entrepreneur is something I couldn’t have even imagined. I am now at the last stretch and things are coming along so well. We’re only a few months away from launch. But to get to this point there has been A LOT of changes.
I have legally changed the name of my business 3 times. YES – 3 TIMES! After logo, packaging and artwork has been completed. With a name change dominos serval other updates – website domain, e-mail, packaging, logo, webpage text, branding and a bunch of other things! Now before you think I’m crazy – a Business Name is SO important. At the time (2 times prior), I did REALLY like the name. But then I would stare at it during final approval before printing and just not connect with it, to the point where I felt I needed to change it. I have to listen to my gut, it’s never wrong. Everything happens for a reason and I’m so glad that I ended up changing it because it wouldn’t have brought me here to a name that I am absolutely in love with. Besides – third times the charm, right?
It now has so much meaning to me and I’m so happy I can connect so much more on a deeper level with the brand I’ve worked so hard to create.
The number 8 has always had some significance in my life Whether it’s positive or negative. It always pops up (To start my life off, I was born in August – 8th month of the year). And without even knowing, when I had originally registered my business for the first time I did it on August 8th 2018 (08/08/2018) – how crazy? When I realized that, I just knew it was meant to be that I include the number 8. And now within the essence of the brand the number 8 has a lot of relevance.
And as you all know, I started this blog to help influence a more thoughtful and conscious way of living through my posts and connecting with people. Only doing things that truly bring you happiness (like how your aura shows true self – Check out my post on Energy).
I’m happy to be able to incorporate my values into this brand, and now be able to connect this blog as well! So in the future you will be seeing much more from me!
Eighth Aura will be launching soon! Stay tuned!
Entrepreneurship is all about the learning experience and part of the journey. I’m grateful for the lessons. And happy to share my learnings!
You can follow @eighthaura now on Instagram. Are you a fellow entrepreneur? Let me know about your journey!
Hey there! Whether you’re new or returning – glad you stopped by!
As you know, I’m new to Los Angeles so I’m on the hunt for special gems of places around the city. I think maybe I’ll call this series ‘Aura Glow’ I’ll find new places, products, experiences, etc. and try it out. I’ll tell you where it lands on my Glowdar (I just made that up lol) Sound good? – GREAT! Ratings will be:
✷✷✷✷ = WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! WHY HAVEN’T YOU CHECKED THIS OUT YET!
✷✷✷ = WORTH TRYING FOR YOURSELF
✷✷ = EHH, OKAY TO PASS
✷ = DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME
My roommate introduced me to this place called HOUSE OF INTUITION. Honestly, since discovering I love the energy it brings! I get all my healing items from here – candles, sage, incense are my go-to’s.
The Sage (Smudge Bundle) is a great size and price ($4), and lasts such a long time. I use this to cleanse and purify my personal space. I can use it multiple times before I need to purchase another one – Bye, Bye Bad Energy!
The Incense is great too, my favorite is the Lavender and I use this for relaxation and tranquility. I like to light before I go to bed, so I can go to sleep with a relaxed and clear mind. They sell 20 sticks in a pack for $4.
The Candles are my favorite. They have Zodiac Candles ($18), I like to light this once a year on my birthday to bring good vibes for my next trip around the sun. They also have Magic Candles ($16). You can select the type of candle (healing, money, love, creativity etc.) you set your mind to what you would like to bring, and then light it! You’re not supposed to blow out the flame, but let the flame go out on its own. The candles also have some small crystals infused that you can keep once burned. They have so many to choose from. I love being able to bring any additional positive energy or thoughts my way!
This place gets a 4 of 4 on my Glowdar! In addition to having great stuff at great prices, the staff is super helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. Def check it out they have a couple of locations throughout LA.
Where do you get your energy recharging/healing items? Have any suggestions I should have on my Glowdar and try out? Let me know on Instagram @IntoAura
Hello! If you’re returning or new – Thank you for being here!
One of the biggest life lessons I have learned has been about energy – protecting it, recharging it, and how I manifest it. I have seen such a drastic positive change in my life when I live by these principals. I’m an (August) Virgo (which is an earth sign) so I very much feel connected spiritually and physical with my surroundings to keep me grounded.
We are energy. We all radiate energy. Our energy force around us is called our Aura. Our Aura is the mirror to our soul that exudes our energy to the world of our true self. And as easily as we can exude our energy to others, it’s important to remember it’s a 2 way street that comes full circle. Positive or Negative energy (from people, places, attitudes, emotions etc.) can penetrate the Aura, making it important to protect, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
For myself, I found that in my life, I was sharing my space with people and relationships that negatively impacted my energy. It’s not to say that these people are bad people, because they are good people. It was that just for me and my life, their energy was not the energy I feed off to nourish my soul and prosper. I think it’s hard when you care about someone (not just romantically, but also your friendships, family, co workers, etc.) to distance yourself when you feel you are no longer feeling positive in their presence. What isn’t growing is dead. And we often look at things for how we want them to be rather than for what they really are. We make excuses, we try to rationalize, we do everything but see exactly what is in front of us. Allowing someone into your space is a privilege and should be treated as such. Not everyone deserves your time and energy.
Only invest in what brings joy to you daily. I used to work for Apple, so this Steve Jobs quote has always stuck with me – he said “If today were my last day, would I do what I’m doing…If the answer was ‘No’ too many days in a row, I’d make a change” So in any situation ask yourself “Am I happy? Do I love where I am? Does this make me feel good?” If the answer is No too many times in a row, make a change. To protect your energy, you have to learn to trust it. It’s never wrong.
As important as it is to protect your energy, it’s equally important to recharge. We all need to take a moment to pause, close our eyes, take a deep breathe, connect with the universe and inhale the positive energy we want to flow through our body and exhale the negative. Visualize your vibrations being revived. I also like to light sage to cleanse my personal space. I sage all the rooms in my apartment and light a candle. Some signs I look out for that indicate to me I need to recharge my energy are:
Irritable – very short with people, often feeling annoyed for an unknown reason
Unable To focus – feeling foggy
If you start feeling this way, take a mental day (or a few). Spend time with yourself and understand what you need. Alone time is often looked upon negatively by others. People are afraid or don’t want to be alone. But if you can’t spend the day alone with yourself, why would anyone else want to? Recharging and self care starts with you. If you’re not at your best you can’t be the best for the people around you. I go to the movies, or out to eat by myself and I love the time I get to discover something new about me.
The most important and sometimes hardest to change of them all. I genuinely and whole-heartedly believe, what you put out into this world, is what you receive back. When you train your brain to be positive, it naturally flows to everything else in your life. In every situation, although it may not be apparent at the moment, there is a positive in every “negative” Believing that everything does happen for a reason – you are exactly where you are supposed to be and what is meant to be, will be, was such a game changer in my life. It’s helped ease my anxiety and depression, my overall energy and outlook on life.
A couple months back, I was rushing to get to work. I remember feeling that everything that morning was just off and not going how my day should have gone. I finally make it out the door with a couple minutes to spare that I wouldn’t be late and I turn my car on and it starts flashing that my tire is FLAT! I first thought – WOW. REALLY?! And wanted to get upset. But then I took a breath and just thought – I’m being protected. I was not meant to be on the road at this time. I will get to work when I get there, and that’s that. I let it go, called to have someone put air in my tire. And just went about my day as usual and actually ended up having a nice day at work. I forgot all about what happened that morning.
That’s a small example but I constantly do this to train my brain that in any situation that may not have had what I felt was the favorable outcome I wanted at the time, that there is a positive side. In the end everything works out, what I wanted or what I thought I wanted turned out to not be what I needed.
When I first started doing this, some of my friends thought I was insane lol They would ask me “why aren’t you angry?” In situations that would make most upset, and my response is always “what will being angry do? It won’t resolve the current situation, I often feel anger is a wasted emotion. It’s okay to recognize that something is happening that you are not okay with, but I often feel situations turn out better when you don’t act on anger and just let it pass. I can’t think of any situation that was resolved with anger.
I hope you too can look ‘Into (your) Aura’ I’m here to help inspire a more thoughtful and conscious way of living. Helping you to find things that feed the soul and bring joy. How do you protect, recharge or manifest your energy? Let me know in the comments. Be sure to follow on Instagram @intoaura for updates on new posts!
Hey there! If you’re new here or came back for more – WELCOME! This post is a little longer than my other ones, as it came unexpectedly..
Remember how I said in my last post “2019 did not start out how I wanted”? Well, the universe called last night to slap me in the face and said, “Challenge Accepted” Now, I know the universe didn’t take my dog away and that it was her time to go, but I’m grieving and think I’m entitled to be a little irrational to help me cope with everything for the time being.
I was blessed to have my beautiful, yellow lab named Zoie Marie (gave her my middle name) for the last 15 years. Today is actually her birthday. Ironic, she would leave the day she came into the world. Although, I am sad to learn of her passing, I am also overjoyed thinking about the life she had and the life she gave me.
My mom never wanted a dog, but I had probably been begging for one since she pushed me out. I really wanted a Golden Retriever because I saw AirBud and just wanted to have the same dog to do all those tricks! My parents finally took me to the pet store when I was in 8th grade. I saw a litter of Yellow Labs and this little dog in the corner. She was just doing her own thing on her own while all the other little puppies were playing together. I asked to see her and the lady brought us into one of those private dog rooms and put her into my arms. I was so excited! I was probably holding the puppy for all of 5 seconds before she jumped out of my arms and ran the distance of the room 15 times knocking everything over. I instantly laughed and said “I WANT HER”. My parents looked at each other and asked if there was calmer dog lol But I had pushed and pushed and finally they agreed to let me take her home! And since that day, Zoie and I have been best friends.
I was an only child growing up (I’m 28 and now have 1 and a half year old littler brother — just to put in perspective of how long it’s been just Zoie and I), so I really enjoyed her company. We ate dinner together every night, went to the park, went on long walks, watched TV, and just basically hung out everyday. When I would leave the house, she’d wait by my bedroom door for me to come back. Or she had this little spot on the last step that she would snuggle up under, so we always had to be careful coming down the stairs to not step on her.
As I got older and graduated from college, It was my time to move out of my parents house. Zoie came with me the first night in my new apartment and stayed with me the first month. As I tried to work 2 jobs and go to grad school, Zoie needed more care and attention than I could give her as she was getting older. So, my parents and I decided, I would take her on the weekends only. They would bring her to me Friday night and take her back to their house on Sundays. With Zoie’s age, that started becoming too much as well to get her in and out of the car, she just didn’t have the same hop she used too. I knew I was going to miss seeing Zoie everyday, but I thought of my parents and the companionship Zoie had brought me all those years. I knew she could do for them what she did for me since I had moved out. She made the house not feel so empty, and filled it with love. So I would drive home on the weekends or FaceTime to be able to see Zoie as often as I could.
I probably lasted almost 1 year without having a dog before the loneliness kicked in. I’m a crazy dog lady (sorry cat people) and I need my puppy-baby! That is when I rescued my Riley, about 4 years ago. A little Belgian Malinois puppy mix.
Zoie was pissed and it broke my heart. She hated Riley the first time they met. She even gave me an attitude when Riley was around. I felt so bad. She did not want to be near him at all. It took over a year to get Zoie to want to be around Riley, but once she grew to love him they were inseparable. I started bringing Riley to see Zoie every weekend. Riley was more of a struggle to train, and needed his crate. Zoie would lay right next to the crate to keep him company. He added some extra pep in Zoie’s step, they walked together and played. They developed a true brother and sister relationship. Riley will always remind me of Zoie, Riley is a boy, he squats when he pees because I used to walk them together and he copied her to learn to use the bathroom lol
Additionally, I am so happy my little brother got to experience Zoie’s love. To this day, I would still go to my parents house and just lay in Zoie’s bed with her. My brother saw me do it so many times he started doing the same thing (SOOOOO CUTE!).
Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do because it often feels it’s too soon. Pets become such large part of the family, Zoie and Riley feel like they’re my children. A dogs unconditional love is just so pure. You share such an intense bond — love, security, comfort, loyalty. I’m devastated. But, the reality is, I will grieve forever and learn to live with the hole of her absence.
I love you so much Zoie, it hurts missing you. But I know you lived a great, long, amazing life! Happy 15th birthday my sweet angel, may you rest in peace xo.
Have you ever lost a pet? How did you cope with the grief? Thank you for listening, I truly appreciate it.
Sending extra love, life, and wellness today for whoever needs it xo
So, you’re either back again or new, either way – AWESOME and WELCOME!
Social Media has a great way of masking reality. Only showing the highlights of life, and leaving those (like myself) to figure out where we belong if we don’t have the same highlight reel. I’m not envious of the posts with people getting engaged and having babies, all that good stuff. At this point in time, that’s not for me. I’m very career and “do what you love” driven so I’m envious of the people who I see traveling the world, people who own their own business’s, make their own schedules, fighting for what they believe in, changing the world and making it a better place. And those who seem to be able to wake up at 11am everyday! umm, #GOALS
I’ve been home for 2 days since just being discharged from a 7 day hospital stay. 2019 did not start out how I wanted (I’m okay and starting to feel better). But, being in the hospital made me have such an epiphany about life. Without sounding dramatic, while I was there I really could only think that I haven’t done anything I’ve really wanted with my life. And I feel so silly saying that because on paper my life looks great, great job, great money, and amazing friends (trust me, it’s taken A LOT to get to this point) but for the most part the work I do isn’t fulfilling to me. Luckily I have great coworkers (people I now consider friends) who make the work day better to get through. But, I still often feel as though I go above and beyond for a company to make millions of dollars, off my work ethic, blood, sweat and tears where at the end of the day, they see me as easily replaceable. They would just move on, business as usual if needed.
” I want to wake up every morning feeling like the fire in my soul has been ignited. “
I want to wake up every morning feeling like the fire in my soul has been ignited. Like I am genuinely making a difference in people’s lives, the planet and doing it my own way. Breaking boundaries and causing positive disruption going outside the box standards society sets.
That is why I am starting my first entrepreneurial venture. My passion is skin care, so I’m excited in a couple of months I will be launching my own Skincare Company. (I’ll def write a post all about it, and keep you updated on progress) My only regret is that I did not document the full journey from the beginning years ago. But I’m doing it now – HELLO BLOG!
I promise this year I will stop putting things off until “tomorrow”. TOMORROW IS FINALLY HERE! You never know who is wishing for your struggle. The grass (being an analogy for life) isn’t always greener. But, I realize my grass is green and more importantly – it’s mine. I’m more than happy to spend the time nurturing it, for it to continue to grow. Hoping you all do the same!

Welcome to the launch of Into Aura and my first blog post! I am Briezii – born and raised in New Jersey and now newly located in Los Angeles, California. I want to lose 80lbs, start a new and healthy relationship with food, be an entrepreneur, explore this new city – just to name a few things. But, I am currently a full time corporate girl. I’m 7 years into my (rather successful) professional career and I just keep asking myself if “THERE IS MORE TO LIFE?!?!?!” than feeling like a preprogrammed robot that wakes up everyday at 5am, sits in traffic, works until 6pm, sits in traffic again, grabs whatever fast food is available for dinner, comes home, walks the dog, sleeps, and repeats this every. single. day.
Would you believe there wasn’t a straight forward answer to my question on Google? Yup – you heard it here first, the internet has failed us all! Just Kidding. But, I figured while I am going through this journey, there has to be other people going through the same thing or searching for the same answers.
So, that’s what brought me here. I’ll be sharing my journey and experiences along the way of this search for “more to life” as I exercise my entrepreneurial gene and launch my first company, repair my relationship with food and get back on track with fitness to reach my 80lb weight loss goal, all while trying to explore Los Angeles and share cool spots that I find. I will also share all the useful information and knowledge I already have and gain. I don’t know where this adventure is going to take me but I’m so excited to share it with you, as well as for you to share with me!
I’ve always loved writing, I write everything down (mostly because if I don’t I will forget) BUT equally I have always jotted everything down in a notebook, as it helps me process all my thoughts. I’ll keep it simple, and keep posts to Lifestyle, Adventure, Self-Care and Wellness that way everything will be easy for you to follow. I talk with dashes, parentheses, CAPS, realness and sometimes a little sarcasm. This will be trial and error, so always feel free to share feedback, of how I can better communicate with you.
I truly hope to influence positivity and help inspire a more thoughtful and conscious way of living through lifestyle, self-care, adventure, and wellness with my journey.
